The Xen CIM Project
The Xen CIM project is providing an implementation of the preliminary virtualization and resource allocation models currently being defined by the DMTF System Virtualization, Partitioning, and Clustering Working Group (SVPC WG). The documents describing these models can be found at http://www.dmtf.org/apps/org/workgroup/redundancy/documents.php. Registration to the working group is free but you must belong to a DMTF member company. See http://www.dmtf.org/about/list for a list of member companies.
The project source code is available at http://xenbits.xensource.com/ext/os-cmpi-xen.hg. The Xen CIM project now uses the new Xen API, available in preview form in Xen 3.0.4. Please join the xen-cim mailing list if you are interested in this project.
The Xen Summer 2006 Summit contained a session on the evolving CIM virtualization models and the corresponding XenCIM implementation.
